Ingrown Hairs

January 9, 2018

I know there are so many women out there who can relate to this – I’ve been plagued by ingrown hairs since I started shaving. I’ve tried everything to get rid of them – from exfoliating to moisturizing (yes, even on my bikini line) and no matter what I do, I always end up with those ugly red bumps after sugaring, even though sugaring has reduced my total number of ingrowns, (as compared to when I was waxing) they still pop up every time I do my bikini line.

I’m not a great candidate for laser as my hair isn’t dark enough, and of course laser is also very expensive. And although I personally know women who’ve done it and swear by it, I also know that the results aren’t permanent. Plus, I love the freedom of sugaring myself at home, so I needed an ingrown solution that I could incorporate into my existing routine.

After doing extensive research online, I discovered a product called Pfb Vanish + Chromabright, a chemical exfoliator and skin lightener in one, after reading a very helpful post on preventing ingrowns at an amazing site called epilator girl, thanks Denisa!

After just the first 2 applications, I noticed that the Pfb Vanish was already fading the leftover red marks from past ingrowns, as well as exfoliating dead skin – very impressive. I continued using it 2x/day, am and pm, and used exfoliating gloves in the shower every morning  and at the 2 week mark, I noticed that I had only 1 new ingrown on my bikini line, whereas before PfbVanish I would’ve had at least half a dozen. Over the next 3 days, I continued applying the Pfb twice a day + exfoliating in the shower, and as the layers of dead skin peeled off, the deeply buried ingrown was revealed. I then tweezed it out (I probably should’ve left it so I could remove it at the same time as the other hair) and it’s now healing nicely with the redness fading daily thanks to Pfb. Had I relied on manual exfoliation, I easily could’ve waited up to 2 weeks for that hair to surface, and even then it may not have. Pfb made the ingrown easy to see and remove, and by reducing the wait period for a buried ingrown to surface, it prevented increased infection, inflammation and discoloration and reduced healing time. For maximum effectiveness, use it twice/day and exfoliate manually every day.

Pfb Vanish + Chromabright is a great product that actually does what it says it will – reduce ingrowns through exfoliation while fading discoloration. If you are like me and you have an issue with ingrowns, I highly recommend that you try it.

    Hey there 🙂

Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t mind me asking
what theme you’re using? (and don’t mind if I steal it?

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress like yours–
but the theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during
    the coronavirus scare!
